Higher Biology Zoo Visit

On Wednesday 13th February, the Higher Biology class attended sessions at Edinburgh Zoo education centre. They took part in an educational tour, discussing conservation and biodiversity. D&G Burns Association Regional Schools Competition

On Saturday 16th February four pupils represented Dumfries High School at the Annual Dumfries and Galloway Burns Association Regional Schools Competition held at Dumfries Academy. Lord Lieutenant’s Army Cadet

Duncan S5, was absent from school on the last day of term before Christmas. He attended the 30th Anniversary Commemorations in Lockerbie as the ‘Lord Lieutenant’s Army Cadet’ for Dumfriesshire. Brodie’s Scottish Schools Swimming Finals

Two pupils recently represented Dumfries High School at Brodie’s Scottish Schools Swimming finals at Tolcross International Swimming centre in Glasgow. Alex S2 competed in the 100m and 200m backstroke and Bryce S4 in 100m Butterfly for DHS. Bryce won the silver medal in his event.

Photography Competition Winner

Mrs Harvey has been running a photography club every Wednesday lunch time from the beginning of term.
