On Saturday 16th February four pupils represented Dumfries High School at the Annual Dumfries and Galloway Burns Association Regional Schools Competition held at Dumfries Academy.
Elspeth S6 took part in the S5/6 Instrumental competition playing her accordion and came 2nd. Billie, Reece and Owen all took part in the S3/4 Bagpipes section. Billie unfortunately didn’t place but enjoyed the experience. Reece was placed 3rd and Owen 1st place. Owen then played again and was voted overall Champion. Anyone who was placed 1st or 2nd now move on to represent DGBA at the RBWF National Schools Festival in Irvine on Saturday 23rd March. Congratulations and good luck to both Elspeth and Owen.
