Duncan S5, was absent from school on the last day of term before Christmas. He attended the 30th Anniversary Commemorations in Lockerbie as the ‘Lord Lieutenant’s Army Cadet’ for Dumfriesshire. This was obviously an honour in terms of not only having been chosen as ‘LLC’ for the year, but his grandfather Mr Paterson, was Head Teacher at Lockerbie Primary at the time of the disaster too. To date Duncan has attended several special events alongside Fiona Armstrong, the ‘Lord Lieutenant for Dumfriesshire’ and she, along with many other dignitaries have commented on how competent Duncan is as an ambassador doing himself, the ‘Army Cadet Force’ and indeed his school proud.
