Dumfries High School pupils develop their Health and Wellbeing through

  • HWB Programme (formerly PSE)
  • Lessons in all Curricular areas
    • Food & Health (predominately Home Economics Dept)
    • Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport(predominately P.E. Dept)
  • Participation in Extra Curricular Activites
  • Life outside of school

  • Details of the DHS Mental Health First Aid provision

There are many children and young people who help to look after someone in their family. This may be Mum, Dad, brother or sister. Dumfries and Galloway Carers Centre aims to provide Young Carers aged 7-18 years with a break from their caring role through one-to-one support, groups and activities held across the region.
