S2/3 Careers Fair 2025

Dumfries High School’s annual S2 / S3 Careers Fair took place on Wednesday 26th February. This was a fantastic opportunity for the young people to find out about many career pathways and possible future destinations, including employment across a range of sectors, Modern Apprenticeships, course choices including Foundation Apprenticeships, and applying to College and University.

The S5 My World of Work Ambassador Team helped to host the event, which ensured that the day ran smoothly. This event was well timed in preparing the young people for the Options Process which starts in March when they will choose their subjects for next year.

Dumfries High School would like to thank all the employers, partners and agencies for giving up their time to take part and ensure the event’s success.

“I could not be more delighted with the success of this year’s Careers Fair. This is a well established event which takes place each year in February. It is fantastic that the employers were able to give us so much of their valuable time to take part. Many of them commented on how well presented pupils were in their uniform, and how well they engaged with them. The feedback from our young people has also been excellent and this will inspire them in planning for their futures!”
