We are looking to recruit a fit, keen and eager to learn individual to join our team. Must be able to work as part of a team but also must show initiative if working on their own. All training will be given in house by our staff. Working week are 8am-4.30pm Monday-Friday. Working in our saw shop at Stevenscroft Lockerbie. Driving license not essential but would be of benefit as occasional van deliveries may be needed. Holidays are 28 days a year (10 day for Xmas, 10 days summer, 2 days Easter and 1 day for May Day bank holiday with 5 days to take as an when you like). Starting pay would be £8.50phr for applicants under the age of 21 and all applicants must be 18years old or above for insurance reasons.
We are a family run business which has been running for over 40 years in Dumfries and Galloway. We sharpen, repair and sell all types of saw blades mostly within the sawmill industry but also do smaller blades for joiners.
