Dear Prospective Student,

The Glasgow School of Art Degree Show 2023 takes place on June 2 – 11
Schools and students in Scotland are warmly invited to our Degree Show exhibition which takes place across the Glasgow campus in June. The shows feature work from final year undergraduate students across all of our five schools – The School of Fine Art, The School of Design, The School of Innovation, The School of Simulation and Visualisation and the Mackintosh School of Architecture.

The Glasgow School of Art offers a range of programmes from Games and Virtual Reality and Product Design Engineering to Fine Art Phototography and Silversmithing and Jewellery. Our Degree Show is one of the highlights on the Scottish cultural calendar and visiting the show is a great way for your students to find out more about the opportunities for studying in art school.

Through visiting the show your students will be able to get an insight into the skills, attributes and knowledge they are likely to develop whilst studying in a creative environment like The Glasgow School of Art, as well as the value of studying creative disciplines and subjects more generally.  The show may help give your students insight into the methods and skills they might pick up from a particular programme or discipline, the people or industries they might work alongside through their studies, and the themes and concerns that our students explore through their work.

Join our Student Led Tours of the Shows

If you are able to visit Degree Show, our student ambassador team will be leading tours of the show in each of our five schools.

The tours will give a student perspective on the shows, and students can ask our student ambassador team questions and find out more about how the GSA’s learning environments support development and learning within specific disciplines.

Booking for individuals and small groups can be done following the link below. For groups of 10 people or more, please email our Recruitment Manager, Jacquie Coyle Dow j.dow@gsa.ac.uk who will be happy to make arrangements for your visit.

Interested students who are unable to attend the show in June,  can explore the work of our graduating students through the 2023 Graduate Showcase which launches on 1st June at 4.30pm.

The Showcase features curated pages from our graduating students which allow them not only to digitally exhibit the work in their degree show, but also expand on their practice and highlight their other projects. Like the Degree Show, the Showcase is a great way to get an insight into our programmes and our students’ work.
