Success at the Regional School Cross Country Championships

Some of our fantastic junior athletes from Dumfries High School are celebrating success after a successful day at the Regional School Cross Country Championships.

The school’s S1 Boys claimed first prize in the championship after competing against 40 other pupils with 13-year-old Ubayd also taking third place overall in the individual event.

An exciting girls’ S1 race saw only a few points difference between the top three teams and Dumfries High School came third overall with 12-year-old Skye celebrating after gaining a fantastic second place overall.

There were also celebrations for 13-year-old David who was delighted with a first overall in the individual S2 races.

For the S2 girls, there was a fantastic fourth place finish for Holly after just being pipped to the post by Annan Academy in third.

And to top it off, Adam came fourth in the individual S3 races to conclude a very successful day of racing for the school.
