Wild day out for Higher Biology students

DUMFRIES High School’s Higher Biology students attended a series of interactive lectures on animal behaviour, biodiversity and conservation at Edinburgh Zoo this week.

The trip, which is designed help pupils prepare for the upcoming exam in May, gave pupils the opportunity to study a wide variety of animals including primate.

Pupils also carried out a behaviour pilot study and learned about the fantastic work that Edinburgh Zoo carries out to protect vulnerable and endangered species including Scottish Wild Cats, Sun Bears and Chimpanzees.
