On Monday 13th May, 84 S1 pupils and 8 members of staff left Dumfries High School for Paris. We left at I o’clock in the morning and travelled by bus to the Euro Tunnel. We arrived in France later on Monday afternoon. Once we had checked into our hotel we all went to the Disney Village before going for our tea at Planet Hollywood.
On Tuesday we went to the Euro Disney Theme Park. We spent all day at the park meeting up for dinner. That night we went to Billy Bob’s Tex Mex Saloon Restaurant. After dinner we went shopping then back to the park for the fireworks show.
On Wednesday we travelled into Paris by bus then went on the Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise. We travelled along the Siene seeing all of the major sites. After lunch we went for a walk along the Champs Elysee then up the Montparnasse Tower. You are able to see the whole of Paris from the top. We had Pizza at Flams Montparnasse and McDonalds for a top up before going back to the hotel to get packed for an early start.
Friday was our last day and we left the hotel early to stop off at the sweet factory. We arrived at Becasuc Sweet Factory for our tour and got the chance to watch sweets being made. We then got to taste them. Then it was off to the Eurotunnel for the journey home.
We really enjoyed the trip and the hotel was really nice!
