How to Pass Evening

‘HOW TO PASS’:  MONDAY 1st OCTOBER 2018 – 6.30PM

Dumfries High School is holding a ‘How to Pass Evening’ on Monday 1st October. This is specifically for S4/S5/S6 pupils who are studying National 4/5 and Higher qualifications.

The ‘How to Pass’ evening is a way to communicate with parents/carers and allow information about courses, assessments, timelines and exams to be discussed in detail.  There will be a subject specific focus on strategies and techniques that pupils can utilise to develop their learning at home, and specifically how parents/carers can become more involved in the learning process.

Subject specific information sessions lasting 15 minutes will run during the course of the evening.  Each session will consist of a short teacher presentation followed by an opportunity to ask your child’s teacher about ways in which you can support your child’s learning this year.

This letter is simply a request to keep Monday 1st October free to come along to this event. Last year over one hundred and twenty sets of parents/carers attended this evening and we would very much like to build on the success of this so we can work together to support pupil learning.

Details of information sessions available during this evening will be issued soon. However, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday 1st October.
