A KIND and thoughtful pupil from Dumfries High School who could sit on her long tresses has had her hair cut short to donate it to the Little Princess Trust.
Ellie who is in S4 cut her hair last week and decided to send the 10 inches it to the charity which creates wigs for ill children who have lost their hair.
The 15-year-old was inspired by a friend who has recently been diagnosed by cancer and said she wanted to do something to help.
She said: “I just think losing your hair must really knock your self-confidence and I thought I could share some of my hair. I can always grow mine back again.”
