Cameron Scott took part in the Rotary Young Chef Area Final on Monday 25th November 2019 at Dalbeattie Learning Campus. Cameron was given 1.5 hours to produce a two course meal for two people for less than £15.
Twelve competitors from other schools in the region took part with chef, Tom Kirkpatrick, judging. The competition was tough and Tom mentioned that he was delighted with the quality and standard of this years menus.
Cameron displayed calm in the pressured environment and produced two outstanding dishes which saw him gain first place. He will now continue onto the district final in Livingston in February. Well done Cameron.
